Bookings and deposits

A booking is held when the deposit clears. The deposit comes off the final invoice. Until the deposit clears, the slot stays available to another customer.

The price shown for a service is a starting price for a healthy, standard vehicle. If we find work that must be done first, we tell you the cost before we start it.

Changing or cancelling

  • Give us 48 hours notice and the deposit moves to a new date, or we refund it in full.
  • With less than 48 hours notice we keep the deposit, because the bay cannot be filled at short notice.
  • If we cancel, you get the deposit back in full, whatever the notice.

Your vehicle

Bring the vehicle in a roadworthy condition, with at least a quarter tank of the fuel that you want it calibrated on. Tell us about every modification. A calibration written without knowing what is fitted to the engine can damage it.

We inspect the vehicle before any work starts. If the vehicle is not healthy enough to tune, we stop, we tell you why, and you pay only for the diagnostic time.

Compliance

We calibrate road registered vehicles to remain compliant with the Australian Design Rules. We do not remove, disable or defeat emissions control equipment on a road registered vehicle.

You remain responsible for making sure that your vehicle complies with the law and with the conditions of your insurance policy. Tell your insurer about any modification.

Warranty

We warrant our workmanship. We do not warrant the mechanical condition of your vehicle, or a part that you supplied.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or a refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Your original calibration

We read out and archive the factory calibration before we write anything. We keep that file while you remain a customer. Ask us and we will return the vehicle to its original calibration.

Payment

Stripe processes the deposit. The balance is due when you collect the vehicle. We may hold a vehicle until the invoice is paid.
