The method
We don't guess. We read and test.
Anyone can flash a file into an ECU. The difference is what happens before and after, and whether you get the data to prove it.

We read the car first
Every module gets scanned before a value changes. We look at long term fuel trims, knock retard history, cam timing response, coolant and intake temperatures, and the health of every sensor the calibration will depend on. A tune written on top of a failing sensor is a tune that fails.

We archive your factory file
The original calibration is read out and stored against your car before anything is written. It stays on record. If you sell the car, or take it to a dealer, it can go back to standard.

We run a baseline
The car goes on the rollers as it arrived. Three runs, corrected to SAE J1349, in the same cell with the same fans and the same operator that will do the final runs. Only a baseline taken this way makes the after figure meaningful.

We map under load
Fuel first, then ignition, working the tables through the load and rpm range while watching air-fuel ratio, knock and exhaust temperature. We stop where the engine, the fuel and the parts say stop, not where a round number would look good in an advertisement.
- 05
We prove it and hand over the data
Final runs, a road drive, and a datalog. You get the baseline chart, the final chart, and a written note of what changed. If we could not reach what we discussed, we tell you why.
What we will not do
- We will not delete a diesel particulate filter or an EGR system on a road registered vehicle. It is illegal in Australia, and it fails a vehicle standards inspection.
- We will not promise a power figure before we have read your car and run a baseline.
- We will not tune around a mechanical fault. If the car needs repair first, we tell you, and the diagnostic time is all you pay.
