E85 and Flex Fuel Calibration
Two maps, one car. Full ethanol content compensation.
Ethanol carries more oxygen and resists knock better than pump fuel, so it makes more power when the calibration accounts for it. We check the fuel system capacity first, then we build the calibration across the ethanol range. With a flex sensor fitted, the car blends between the maps by itself and you can fill with either fuel.
